poping?   Is it the throttle body injection?  Is it possible to have a bad cam?  A bad cam will cause a misfire and poping sound.  I am unsure of the poping sound on an injected car, but on a carbed car it will backfire through the carb if you have a bad cam.

Is the check engine lite lit? To scan this car you need an OBDI scanner, and an adapter cable because GM put OBDII diagnostic connectors but kept the PCM OBDI.

If you are getting a popping noise from the intake, the engine is back firing in the true sense. Could be an ignition problem, a fuel mixture problem, a bad intake valve, or a combination. Have the coils and the ignition module tested, try a few cans of injector cleaner, do a compression test to spot any bad valves. Check the plug wires as they may be arching under load and causing misfires. Check the EGR valve as it may be hanging open.
High idle speed may be caused by a an air leak anywhere on the engine side of the throttle valve, bad IAC valve, messed up throttle valve adjustment, etc..

i got my car scanned and i got improper idle

IAT somethin
i changed the IAC and the IAT so im think its the crank position sensors
can they cause a misfire?

No. Fix the crank sensor first, then if you still have the high idle, we can help with that.

ok i got the idle down to 990 at drive and rev and 1300 in park and nuetral
we adjusted the screw in the back of the idle screw thing
um the mechanic said if it was the crank sensor my car wouldnt start as good as it does
so only one thing left for the misfiring noise the exhaust
he said if my exhaust wasnt bolted up all the way it would misfire and that my leaks could cause it too
so off to the exhaust place friday to get it fixed
wish me luck
also i found a small hole in the hose from the EGR valve could that cause it to rise up to 1300 in park? its a small hole
