this kid that i work with has a z24 cavalier 2 door not sure on the year but im guessing between 96-98 deffienelty not modded. when he found out i got a camaro he's always been saying that he wants to race me and kick my ass. it kinda sounds like hes just joking around but im not sure. do you think i can whoop him or not? my brother has a 97 cavy 2.4l twin cam and i gotta say the car is pretty fast.

if it's an auto, you'll slaughter him. the auto's were set to shift at 4500rpm. now a stick would be a little more of a challange

im not quite sure if that year has the 2.2 or not.. but maromoan209(i think is the spelling) just beat a 2.2 cobalt, barely. and he has the 3.8. like 1990 said, if he's auto(which i guess he is) you WILL slaughter him, to bad he didnt have a standard. that'd be a good race if the cavy had the 2.2, and standard.

yea, mine shuts off at like 108 or 110.. someone on my other forum blew his car up by hitting it on accident...

N2O + Air - fuel = explosion

he knew the limitor was there, but he thought he was in a lower gear than he actually was. they shut off there due to something with the suspension.. not the tires, cuz even the RLs and SSs cut out at i think 112 or 118.

ya, they are slow as balls with the auto. i beat one by half a car with my car when it had the 3.1 v6 with the slushbox. (running on five cylinders no less)

ya but you're making 145hp in a 2800lbs car, i was making 140hp in a 3100lbs car

=) and i think your car weighs(ed) more than 3100, the 4th gen weighs around 3200-3300, i'd guess your's was at around 3400. but im prolly wrong lol.
