I am a corvette guy and have my 1st camaro 67 to be exact. I have run both mono and oem leaf my cars. What is the best anyone has found to work better on the camaro? The car is pushing approx. 375hp to the rear wheels.

can you go with a coilover setup?
i ran Super stocks on my 83...

IMO that's persomal opinion, most will prefer mono for drag...lighter and car will squat easier on rear (weight transfer)...i personally had multi on my 67 with vented air shocks and traction bars...B/B turbo 400 ...launched pretty good...Allan....also vette ovner...1968

hmm..but also with a mono...with a good solid bite, youre more likely to flip one...and that can get ugly.

I have a 68 rs with aout 490 hp .PG trans with transbreak and 3400 stall I am running mono with traction bars and air shocks at about 10 to 20 pounds PSI. No problems yet but I have just played around with it .No track time yet.

i watched a gorgeous 70 hemicuda with huge slicks and monos with DOTs stomp it in a garage and flip one..and tear the fender up...

Hey i just bought some hotchkis leaf springs for my 68 camaro... I bought Multi-leaf but my camaro is mono-leaf. Do i have to buy the brackets to go from Mono to Multi??

If so what else do i need to buy?

monoleafs are usually installed on 67's and 6 cyl 68's. They were replaced because of wheel hop in high horsepower cars

Got to watch you rear end setup when you are making real power. Te right side torques up, the right rear corner drops down and the whole car might just flip. When Chrysler was big on super stock racing, they had to use leaf springs, so they solved the problem by shifting the axle way to the front of the springs, which helped weight distribution, and the short front end of the springs was stiff enough to act as a traction bar. They also added leaves to the right the rear spring making it stiff enough to keep the car rear level at launch. These cars would launch with the front wheels about 2 in off the ground and hold them there almost half way down the strip. It took Chevy a few months to figure this set up out and catch up. They also used snubbers on top of the pinon so that the body would sit down on it and further help to keep the wheels from hopping.
