98 3.8 v6 base model.
no mods at all yet.
would it be possible to supercharge it? how expensive is it? how does it affect gas mileage? thanks for any help

You can, no kits currently for it. No, you can't easily bolt on a Grand Prix supercharger. If you want to supercharge it, find a used kit, or you can buy a head unit and custom fab the piping and mounting brackets.

would there be like a shop i could go to? like i live near hawks third gen.....think they might could help?

Wouldn't hurt to call them. I'm not sure whether they do that kind of stuff or not. I forgot to mention, if do put a supercharger on there, you're going to want to get it tuned to run good/healthy.

there are kits for them there few and far between but there out there the kit for one of cars range 3-5 grand range before install. oh and as far as gas milage that wont be affected much howver you will have to run mid grade or itll knock

I was thinking about that myself, but I dunno... I've heard it'll run at least a few grand to get it done right, and at that point you have just gotta wonder whether it's worth it. Personally I'd just save the money and swap in a v8 once this engine goes.

for the price of swapping in a new v8, you could trade ur car in on one and save urself the hassle.    a decent lt1 can be had for 5k, and i bet u can get 2k for ur car.  a new motor is going to run u over 3k
