Hello everyone, I just bought a 1987 Iroc-Z with a blown 305, engine has a spun cam bearing! My question is: I was thinking either rebuild the 305 or buy a short block 350. Beings that Im new to TPI Engines if I was to swap in a complete TPI 350 or just use the short block 350 and the Top End off my 305, do I have to also change out the wiring harness and computer for a 350 TPI Camaro?? Or can I use the the wiring harness and computer etc, from the 305?? thanks guys............. ps. looking forward to being here as a proud new owner and member of THE THIRD GEN CAMARO FAMILY. pss. I`ll post pics of the Iroc-Z soon!!

personally i would just swape the top end over to a 350 block, at most auto shops you can get anew ecu computer that set for a 5.7 tpi, you may need to change some sensors in 87 they had 350tpi so its not hard to do. would deff recomend getting some heads for it, wouldnt put 305 heads on it.
