i didnt know anythign about the cars when i bought it, i was pressured into it(winter) and it was pretty much the first car i saw, i bought(4 weeks w/o a car is KILLER) i am old school with MOPAR.. meaning, i lvoe thier old cars over any other. lol i was going to get a ION monday(yesturday) but last thursday it fell through, girl who was buying my car, got fired, so the owner had the other guy interested buy it. it was a 250WHP car too. atm, im trying to find a LS1, but i can't get a camaro(killer insurance for some reason) and i cant find any "cheap" unmodded LS1s.. i love this white one i found, but my dad is a bitch about cars when it comes to buing modded ones. also.. i was flamed for putting the car in my sig. lol.

ORIGINAL: STIC5 If you're gonna drive an ugly Ion, at least get a Redline so you can win some real races. The LSJ is a very good engine, and in stage 2 form you can run with the big boys. there's alot of people with the 2.4s running faster than redlines btw. and the only gimp ION is the 2.2, becuase it doesnt have a tune available, of any sort.. so your stuck with bolt ons, than also make the car run kinda rich. had i known that when i bought my sedan( if im gonna own a FWD, i would like 4doors, convenience) i would of never bought it.

ORIGINAL: STIC5 The 2.4 Ecotec is a decent N/A engine, but there's no way that it can hang with an LSJ without slapping a turbo or something on it, and it's too high compression to handle that and be reliable. All you have to do to a LSJ to get 260 hp and tons of torque is get the Stage 2 kit and swap the pulley in that kit for a slightly smaller one. The thing is bullet proof too. there's a couple guys running a low 13 with a 200WHP 2.4.. just bolt ons and a shot of N2O. but i agree the RL is the way to go. the one i wanted only had exhaust and a 2.9" pulley and it dynoed for 250, and 220. and claimed it could run a mid 13, but he never actually did it, cuz he was a owner of 3 11sec mustangs. even with no tune available, there some guys running a mid 14 on the 2.2s also. LSD bolt ons, N2O, even one with a turbo. all doing their own piggyback tunes. ive seen some videos of just a pulley'ed RL take down LT1s like nothing and hang wiht stock LS1s. and if you ask me, they're a beasty looking car too.

THANKYOU!!!!! i love you i love yuou i love you!!. lol.. not really. but your the first person to say they're nice, even the saturn people dont like em. they ALL like BLACK 5 spoke ASRs or whatever they are. though, for it to really look good, i think it needs black tint, and like a 1.5inch drop.
