Here's a nice writeup on what are the best cams out there for a stock headed LT1. It's pretty  helpful. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=826333 Personally, I'd look at the CC305. I think that's going to be my cam of choice once it's time for me to buy one. I'm hoping that with some Pacesetter LTs, true duals, all other bolt-ons, and the CC305 with 1.6rr's, and a good tune, that I'll be able to get close to the 350rwhp mark.

Unless you have a pretty good bolt-on setup (i.e. full exhaust headers back as well as a CAI) you're not going to see much from recamming it because you can't get enough air in/out of the motor to benefit from a more aggressive cam.  I'm not trying to say that you shouldn't get a cam, just consider that you're going to need the supporting mods to actually get a good gain from it.

Just remember if you pick a big cam the car is going to drive much different. Like slvr said you will need LT'd ORY and exhaust. If you go really big the car will need gears unless you plan on having a very jumpy ride. I went with a pretty big cam and I still havent got my gears installed yet and let me tell you at low RPM the car acts like its running out of gas or something of that sort. So just take your time and make sure you get the cam thats right for you.
