i wish they made those halo lights for the trans am flipups.  i have been looking around alot, but the best i can come up with is an HID kit that uses the same light lenses

Plus you you won't have to look at those ugly fish-eye head lights on the LS1.

easy solution - buy halo headlights, it makes it look like a more angry catfish. i was thinking about trading in my LS1 for a 96-97 ss. wait.. did i just say that??
That's the spirit!  I think the 93-97 Camaros look better anyway.  The 98+ T/A looks cooler than the 93-97 though, the 93-97 are too long on the front fascia.

I have always said exactly the same. When I got my first car ('97 V6 Camaro) I was happy to get it instead of a '98 V6 because the mechanicals were the same but I thought my '97 looked better. I very much liked the look of the (then new) '98 Firebird though.

everybody keeps saying how much more expensive it is to mod an ls1. what are we talking about tho. say percentage wise?? 20% more?50%?

im still paying off my truck (yota FJCruiser) and am planning to buy a 00-02 z28 at the end of winter, when everyone will be frantically running to their nearest chevy dealer to trade in or sell their 4th gen for a 5th gen. 4th gen used to be my dream car when they were selling new. i gotsta have one now that im older and can afford toys. but if you guys are saying its rediculously more expensive than getting an lt1, i may have to look into that. probably not enough to get a 93-97, but would be very worth knowing.

Yeah, basic bolt-ons are essentially the same. Do full bolt-ons on the ls1, and spend 100 bucks more. Big deal. But from what I''ve seen, once you get into the engine the ls1 becomes ''noticeably'' more expensive. But still not horrible.

IMO, ls1 is amazing for h/c/i/nitrous. (If you''re going all-out build-wise). But lt1 is the best for low-comp. 383/boost.

ooooooooooooooooooookay....fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine...but does that really count as an ls1?

I wish I could stuff an lt5 into my Z. That would be sweet. Yes, off topic, get over it. lol.

probably doesnt count.  but the ls1 can be stroked out to 383 just fine.  only difference in the LSx is it can handle much larger bores and I think it may also be iron.

That''s what I thought.

Quick question, what''s the most you can over-bore an lt1, before you get into some real danger?
