I would rather have a LS1 than a LT1, but I do really like the LT1. Also, people say that a LS1 can handle more power, maybe but it is aluminum and a LT1 is an iron block. Iron is a stronger metal so what ever you do to it theoretically, it should handle more HP and have less of a chance of blowing up. Iduno.

Oh, and for the cheapness for an LT1 I agree. I got mine with a T56 and supercharged for 4,500 :)

Iduno. i dont know if i have ever heard of blocks coming apart ONLY due to strain from power. its a common theme when talking motor strength, but usually if you break ur block its because a rod broke first and you used what was left of the rod to punch a hole in the block. i.e. make sure ur bottom end is really strong and dont sweat so much about the block itself. its ridiculously hard to break a block before breaking internals

Well, first of all, i''m gonna give some input. Agree or disagree, its whatever. I do not agree with those price differences in the LS1 and LT1 cars. The guy i got mine from wanted 13k, that was with a 2 year/25k mile warranty. Of course LT1''s are generally cheaper, but like every other car it depends on miles, mods, etc. A lot of LT1''s are cheap, but a lot of LT1''s have more miles than LS1''s as well. Yes, of course, even with the same miles, in the same condition, the LS1 is going to be more expensive, but it''s also a newer car. Thats not saying just because you own an LS1 you should get a big head about it. You own an LS1, your not special. You own an LT1, once again, your not special. Mods are an entirely different thing though. You can find a heads/cam/nitrous LS1 for somewhat cheap depending on the miles, i would assume the same goes for the LT1. But you never get your money back for mods....
