Your car isn't going to benefit from any sort of PCM reprogramming, especially a handheld programmer.  The best thing is a fully dyno tune, but you really don't need to worry about retuning anything until you get some internal mods, the computer can compensate for most bolt-ons.

thanks 1969 ss, i just wanna know what im getting myself into. now i am looking for an intake...i cant seem to find one for a v6...maybe i dont look in the right places. also a programmer for a v6 (what is that...impossible to find???)
there really was never a strong aftermarket for those parts for your engine.

SLP and Granatelli were the two bigger manufacturers for the 3.8 parts and I'm not sure how much they are still supporting it.

For your intake, you can save some money, and get similar performance as aftermarket. http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread.php?t=63732

From listening to the people over on that forum, it's pretty close, if not the same. That way the cash you had saved for it, can be spent elsewhere. I know there are people on here who've done it.

I've done it. Only took about 45-60 minutes.
