Guys, if he likes it, it's his car, he can do whatever he wants to his car...That being said I don't think it's a very good look, stick-ons never look right because they weren't meant to be there.  I don't know any specific places to find it, but you may be able to come across one if you search on ebay.  Consider that it's probably going to come unpainted, so you'll need to get a good paint job on it for it to look anything like that, and usually if you really want it to look right you'll need to paint the whole car so it doesn't have a different shade of the same color (color matching never works perfectly, and you can tell a difference when the parts are right next to each other).  Good luck on finding your parts, but I agree with the other guys, I think it would look better if you did something a bit more simple and a bit more functional

Hey thanks, It's fine they can 'rib' me I did find it on "google images" though and I go back and forth weather I want a new hood or not. It's just that I have my spoiler flat blk and the hood inserts flat blk and flat blk 'Hockey stripes down the side. my 95' z-28's base color is bright chevy red. so with that cowl scoop I would leave it flat blk to match the rest of the areo pieces. I would upload pics of my ride but it keeps saying image to big. any suggs?

you're better off buying a cowl induction hood.

^^^ that wasnt meant to insult your idea BTW. i dunno what look your after or anything, but cowl induction hoods look sick on the 93-97, and they have a serving function too.

As far as the pics, use an image editor (you can download GIMP for free) to reduce the size of the images.  Either that or you can upload them to Photobucket, image shack or some other picture host and link them with: [image]picture URL[/image]

I think the main reason I don't like that hood insert is because it's an addon and it doesn't look clean, even painted.  Unpainted, even if it were the same color as your accent color it would still stick out like a sore thumb.  If you want a good looking hood go for the 93-97 SS hood, if you have to have some flat black on it to get it to match paint the sides of the scoop flat-black, but the addon just doesn't look right in my opinion.

I think a clean look such as

or

for a hood looks much better.

Hey thanks I'm really not offended by much of anything. We each like diff things, just think how borring life would be if we all liked the same thing and then if that thing was my thing you'd all hate life, right? So like I always say "to each their own" But I really do like the SS hoods but maybe i'll just stay stock for awhile and keep the $ under the hood. I'd rather fool people into thinking i'm all stock until the likes go green instead of looking mod'ed up with a big hood and be all stock under it. well thanks for all the pic help.
