Sorry if this question is already answered I just couldn't really find a thread for it but I have a 1995 Z28 Automatic and I was curious if I should turbocharge it or but a N.O.S kit on it. I'm pretty new at this thing but I've been hearing some mixed reviews on what system I should install on my LT1. If anybody can help me with which one I should get or even anything I should know before I install one because I heared that the LT1 can be kind of a pain,  I'd apperciate it. Thanks!

I like NOS energy drink.

But anyway, a shot of nitrous will do you well. Turbos are complicated.

a turbo would require more work that ull want to do if ur open to the idea of nitrous (some guys think its cheating.   those guys dont know anything....)

ur motor is built for nitrous, high compression, large displacement.

Sweet so do u think I should improve anything (ex. Pistons, piston rings, etc.) before I install N.O.S because my motor has 84,000 miles on it (I know thats somewhat low for the year) or do u think my LT1 can handle it without any upgrades prior to installing N.O.S?

Thats tight well I'm going to check out some diffrent NOS setups but from what I'll hearing NOS is the best method for me to increase my horsepower by a great amount. But again thats for all the help.

at $60 a bottle how many times would you have to refill to make up the difference in price of a turbo kit, and most likely the rebuilt motor you would need to make it worth while?   i bet u even most professional drag racers who use nitrous havent filled that many times

And you can always get a good sniff on nitrous, and then you couldn' care less about anything. Personally I like the smell of burning nitro, good for clearing the snot out of your nose. LOL
Seriusly, there are  a lot of legal issues on using nitrous on public highways, and good turbo installations, such as a factory would do, is very expensive. For a stock LT1 a good centrifugal supercharger would be a good bet for both street & strip. Good kits are available from known companies such as Vortec and Paxton, the installation is neat and professional and you can get a decent 30% power increase without blowing the engine up.
