my car 350 with a 350 th, rebuilt about 15yrs ago, fuilee heads, Z28 intake mainifold,quadrejet carb 4b,
i need to know what my compression should be and how do i do it.

1. Get a compression check kit, like this

2. Remove all spark plugs

3. Screw the fitting into a spark plug hole

4. Have a helper crank the engine 3-4 times

5. Write down highest reading

6. Repeat for each cylinder

7. Profit


Your readings should be consistant with each other, a "bad" reading would be one cylinder 30-40 psi lower than the rest.

Look for an average of between 120-160 psi. It varies with the engine.
