Id get a Camaro only because if you bought it you would have the same bragging rights that guys who own 1st gens have. However if you wanted hot nasty badass speed id get a Vette.

I think you have to benchmark them both, and look at the value per dollar spent.
Obviously, if you have money to blow...

all a camaro is, is a poor mans vette. if i had the option for a z06 vette or a z28 camaro? both 2009? id take the vette in a heart beat. its lighter, faster, the f*cker has the transmission in the back for perfrect weight distrubution, it has an aluminum frame and a 500 naturally aspirated horsepower engine. in a perfect world i would buy the vette, however... this is not a perfect world and i cannot afford a vette which is why im gonna buy the camaro. keep in mind the camaro is for the majority of people... whereas the vette is for a select few.

the zr1 can't even be compared to a camaro, or any other american car. That's in the enzo and veryron class if you ask me. As far as performance.  A corvette is a corvette! I'd pay a few grand more just to be able to say that! Although, the new camaro is gonna be like AHHHHHHHHHHHHH                         i say buy the camaro and then sell it once it becomes just a camaro again. Lease one for a few years.
