Status: offline when cold, my 98 z28 makes like a sputtering, spit noise but not quite like a backfire, and goes away when it warms up. any ideas on what it could be and what causes it?

it sounds like a exhuast leak could be at the head or maybe the collector.or the gasket has blowen out or some were one the exhuast or it has come lose or there is a hole some were.

Status: offline when i took the y pipe off the manifolds on my z, i snapped one of the flange bolts. it makes a lot of noise until its warmed up.
