Autogeek.net has great information on detailing cars.

I like the claybar kit from Meguiars and their cleaner wax is easy to use.  The synthetic wax NXT 2.0 paste has gotten some great reviews but I've never used it myself.

My black subaru gets the synthetic Klasse All-In-One, while my red convertible gets carnauba Wet Wax by Obsessive.

{The step between claying and waxing is the Polish stage.  This is where swirls and imperfections are fixed by removing a tiny layer of the clearcoat.}

My Zaino Z5 came in today and I was able to wash it with Dawn to take the old stuff off, and put on one coat of Z5.  I think it looks damn good.  It gives it a nice deep shine and apparently has SPF in it too.  I highly recommend it.
