Advantages: More displacement for more power!

Stroking is just replacing the stock crank with a 400 crank that has a longer stroke, so your new displacement is 383ci instead of 350ci. That's about all there is too it, it's basically rebuilding the whole bottom end though. If you have a blower already, you should probably replace everything with forged internals. Cost is going to depend on what manufacture you go with etc. but you're probably looking at around $2000 for a good forged bottom end.

Unfortunately, you will also lose your current redline.

Fortunately, we unlike ricers, know that it doesn't take 824083948 rpms to make power!

Going with what 95slvr said, atleast go forged, and going 383 probably wouldn't be much more since your getting into it. Eagle forged parts are usually one of the lower cost that are ok. You will gain more torque, and hp but most depends on the heads/cam you will be putting in there.

i''d say you''re going to have around 5 grand in a well built 383 assuming you''re using good parts.  you can do a cheaper build sure...but it won''t handle as much stress.  call or email the guys at www.advancedinduction.com and let them know what you want and they can start helping you with your combo and give you general prices...however they can''t help you with the machine work pricing you will need to get to the 383

To be frank, i''m not sure i''d spend the money unless you have a specific purpose for it. if your car is in good shape, then try and sell it and take the $ you would spend and add it and look for a different vehicle, perhaps an LS1 and then do bolt ons.

There will always be a faster car on the street and strip and it can get crazy trying to keep up.
