hey also
I rubbed the tires on the drive home, and about the depth of a nickle rubbed off the tread  on the sides, should I try to make them replace the tires since they installed them? Or is it not a big deal as?

I ened up buying shackles, which I will put on later. For now I bent the inside of the fenders so it doesn''t cut my tires up and lifted the car up, filled the shocks (to get the most pressure) and it seems to be fine for now.

i put shackles on mine,i even have a vintage set of chrome plated shackles with a pop up on the box of a 68 camaro.anyhow i like mine and no they do not put more stress on the leaf springs.what puts stress on leaf springs is air shocks bending them too muuch without the shackles.i have high jacker shocks and shackles in the pic.

You could also get different wheels with the correct back spacing. in my old 70 I used air shocks and they worked fine.
I believe the problem with shackles is not messing with the springs but changing the pinion angle of the rear end and stressing the universal joints.

One thing with my car...

When I wanted to put my bigger tires on my Camaro the wheels would rub when I would drive at all... didnt even have to go over a bump to rub... I put Air shocks on it and it lifted it enough and dont rub what so ever... even over bumps. I know you said you tried the air shocks but did you notice if it rubbed at all after or not?

yeah, I lifted them up all the way with the air shocks which is good..until the shocks leak and lower back down...(must need new shocks)
