car system - 6/6/2008 7:40:08 AM    Denhsturrr   Posts: 17 Joined: 11/15/2007 Status: offline hey ive always wanted a system but i never had the money and i dont know much about cars all i know is ive got a 95 camaro and i dont care about space and ive got a pretty flexible budget approximately 12-1300 i was thinking about getting a pair of alpine type x''s and getting the kicker zx1500.1 amp or is there something else that i should get? any suggestions are appreciated Post #: 1

RE: car system - 7/22/2008 10:32:15 PM    bigpunisher Posts: 69 Joined: 6/23/2008 Status: offline I would go with soundstream T5 12" subs and a soundstream tarantula amp.  For the box you might want to get a custom made one.  Buying premaid boxes is a bad idea because they may not be deep enough and it might not get the right amount of air space for the speaker. RE: car system - 7/23/2008 5:45:29 AM    Ozzker   Posts: 30 Joined: 6/4/2008 Status: offline I would go Full Out if I were you, get three Alpine Type R 10''s in a custom box (subthump.com has good ones) and then wire them with 2 Rockford Fosgate T10001BD amps . Up front go with the Alpine CDA-9886 Head Unit and get Alpine Type R 6.5'' for your doors and beside your backseat. Also if yours came with the 6x9''s in the back, replace them with Alpine Type R 6x9 and have a third Rockford Fosgate T10001BD running all your small speakers. Then wire it all up with some nice 4G Monster Cables!
