i have a 89 rs with the tbi 305 i have a ? is it possible to remove the A.I.R system that hooks to the manifolds without messin up how te car runs

You can rip out all the AIR/Smog crap and it will have no effect on how the engine runs, and it won''t cause any service engine issues either. Just make sure you leave any oxygen sensors and their connections alone, removing those will cause the SES to light.

good so i should be able to just plug the holes in the manifolds and leave the plmp and hoses off cuase it really looks like crap on there and i don''t even know what the real purpose of it is but i figure 1 less thing the car has to do it 1 or 2 hp i might get back

Just pull all the crap emission out of there. Make it look nice pretty under the hood evem if you don''t know what you are doing..

lol ya thats the plan i just had to replace the head gasket on it so i was askin bout this before i reinstlled the system but ya i am gonna leave them off and have the holes in the manifolds welded close
