Hello, I have just recently bought a 4th gen (1994) Camaro. I was wondering if anyone knew what size of aftermarket speakers could be fit into the stock locations on the bottom of the doors in the front and beside the seats in the back. If anyone knows or could tell me what they used would be greatly appriciated! Thanks, Oskar

I think they call the size 6 1/2S.

Thats what I was thinking too but when I was bowsing at the Audio store yesterday the one guy suggested that 6x9''s should fit in the back and I was wondering if anyone has done this!

Also if anyone has any pictures of there speaker setups I would really like to see them for any ideas!

How many speakers do you have? My first ''97 just had 4 (2 in the doors, 2 by backseat). The one I have now has 6 (the 4 I already mentioned and 2 in the hatch area). The ones in the hatch appear to be 6x9 or so, but the others are 6 1/2S. You would need a bit of custom work to fit 6x9 aside from where I said.

You can fit 6x9''s in the rear by the the passenger.  You only have to pull the panel off and measure the size and cutout.  You can replace the panel and no one will know what you have.  Your passengers won''t like it when you crank it up though.

Haha I thought about it, I had the panel off yesterday looking at them, but I think i will stick with four 6.5 Alpine Type-S speakers, they should be loud enough for now!

Yeah you really don''t need anything bigger in that location.  Plus the speakers you have will sound great once you put an amp to them.  If you don''t already have one.
