i have a 1997 3.8 camaro, and i want to out a v8 in it, where can i get a cheap motor and trans, i know what parts i need to do this conversion, i just need to know where to get cheap motor and tranny

I would have to say the junkyard. If your not going to do all the labor yourself you are better off to just sell it and by a cheap camaro that already has a v8 in it and just fix it up. If its stock and you put a v8 in it you will have to change just about everything over in the car from the clutch to the rear end. I was going to do the same thing with my 95 camaro but it was cheaper for me to just by a 96 z28 and just fix it up and put a stroker kit on it.

i would say if you dont know how to resource a a drive tran, not to take on such a large project
