They''re ''based on hookers famous long tube design'', but with the silver super resisting coating.

Will they stand upto three or so michigan winters?

Would I be better off spending 300 bucks more on Kooks? I know Kooks would essentially be the best of the best, but I can get the jet hots, and a jet hot y-pipe for less than the Kooks headers alone.

What do ya think?

There were slight complications with getting the Kooks. :(

well kooks is jsut about the best out there but yeah they are really expensive, i went with hooker ceramic coated and they are great, fit good with no problems, just make sure when you get the headers you get a y-pipe by the same brand or you might have a few issues, ive never dealt with jet or seen them really, but i hear they are good, just make sure if you plan on passing emmissions you get the a.i.r. and e.g.r. hook ups on the headers

Fortunately for me, I live in MI, so I don''t need to worry about emissions and the like.

But if I go for the ones without the a.i.r./e.g.r will I be missing any sort of sensors, which will cause code throwing? I don''t know enough about my own car!

New topic, sort of:

I''m thinking of getting a custom-fabbed y-pipe back exhaust. I''d probably take it to a muffler/exhaust shop that does mandrel bending, give them my muffler of choice, and tell them to do their stuff. Has anyone else done this? If so, how did it turn out for you? What brand muffler should I be looking at? I''m assuming that question would be best answered by youtube videos.

The cat-back is simply a matter of what you like to hear. You''re not going to get the claimed 15 HP that all the manufactures say that you''ll get, so you might as well go for what you think looks and sound best. I haven''t heard anything about the Jet-Hot headers, so maybe you could get them and let us know what you think...Either way, I usually recommend first Kooks and after that Dynatech.

no you wont have to worry about sensors for air or egr, just make sure they have an 02 bung installed, sometimes though my SES light will come on cause the egr isnt hooked up

Alright, thanks very much.

New topic, sort of:

Can someone tell me which cat-back/just a muffler will give me a nive deep rumble at idle, and not become extremely raspy under WOT? That''''s what I''''m looking for in terms of sound, but youtube videos don''''t give the best sound quality when a car gets into high rpms.

But, this camaro sounds AMAZING - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtG7D_Wxks4 (Obviously, being stroked and cammed it has a slight edge over exhuast only cars. ;) )

EDIT:

I rechecked the jet-hots, and they do come with the o2 bungs. There''s an additional cost for o2 extenders, will I need them? As in, do they really need it? I''m assuming yes, but if I can save 40 bucks by not getting them I''d be very happy.

You do need something to extend the O2 wires. If you have some wire and some soldering skills you can easily extend them yourself. If you don''t have that ability you need to get the extensions.

I don''t, not yet anyway. But my mechanically inclined father does, so this could be a good chance to learn.
