Here are some underside shots of the car (327 4 speed) and the engine compartment. Does that rocker look right? Looks like they sprayed some type of coating underneath. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Overall, the car doesn''t look all that bad, from what can be seen. And the pic of the rocker area is blurry in the foreground, so it''s hard to tell what''s going on there. Could be they sprayed on some undercoating before the color, but it doesn''t necessarily mean it was to cover up anything bad. A good test with a lightweight magnet would be helpful there.

X2 on the magnet.  Just put it to what should be metal, if it falls off, its not metal.  I also agree with the undercoating, how its not necessarily to cover some things up - then again, if its put on wrong, or with too much haste, the undercoating will actually trap moisture and cause rusting - agian, use the magnet to know for sure.

Car looks decent. Any pics of the rest of the car and did it originally come as a 4 speed car?

Here are some additional pics.

Not digging the blue inserts, but that can be changed. I found out from the seller this was a father/son restoration project where the car was completely disassembled and they did the majority of work. The seller did not know whether any body panels were replaced but stated he cannot see where any work has been done...which means none was done or it was done right. The restoration was finished in 2005. The car was an original V8 4 speed car. I did not ask if it was numbers matching because I just do not care one way or the other. The car is in Tacoma which likely explains the undercoating.

I think you should run away from that car as fast as you can and just let someone else get stuck with it. Now, where exactly is it located?
That looks like a damn nice car, is the price right too?

what ever that is on the rocker also looks the same as stuff in the second pic. Look at the coil then shift your view up and to the left just above the lower a arm... looks like the same stuff.

When I bought my ''69, it was coated the same way.  Mine was undercoating done by Ziebart, and chances are yours may be as well.  It may be hiding bodywork, or preserving nice metal.  Two things I have always looked at on first gen camaros is where the inner wheel housings meet the trunk floor, and the underside of the package tray.  If they are both sound and look original, then maybe the car won''t be very rusty elsewhere.  Just my opinion.

Good luck
