Hurt bearings - 6/26/2008 5:34:02 PM    383 79 Posts: 108 Joined: 4/24/2008 Status: offline My oil light pops on when I idle, or am decelerating. When I give it throttle, it dissapears. All I have right now is my idiot light, and who knows how incredibly low it has to be for it to come on. I dont have much experience with this situation, can anyone give me any tips, or things to check that arn''t completely obvious? I''m going to put a guage on it and see whats up. I had checked it repeatedly when it was warm, and it said it was full. but, I checked it when it was bone cold and the oil wasn''t even on the stick. How does this happen?! Thank **** I checked it again. I never dreamed it would be completly empty, when it said it was perfectly full, right at the line when it was warm. I put 2 quarts in it, and its fine now. That was a horrow show waiting to happen. I''m going to be more careful when checking the oil.
