You know, I''m surprised nobody has mentioned one of the obvious factors in choosing whether you will need a new rear or not..... how much time do you ACTUALLY spend or plan on spending at the track? My car goes to the track maaaybe once every 3 months??? I''m putting 470rwhp all engine and mine has held up fine. It''s an 02 M6.

I''ve seen plenty of people who don''t track whore their cars....be in the 500rwhp +  and their''s have held up a long time and or has never gone out. If its going to be a street warrior then you won''t need to worry to much unless you start putting on those slicks. It just really depends on what your going to do with it .....and how often!

It wont give you any problems unless you dump the clutch at 3000 rpm, kickin in nitrous at 30 mph say, and at full throttle once you are off the ground will not over stress the 10 bolt. If you want clutch dumping, the story changes, you said this was a daily driver

for a daily driver and street machine id save to do the engine, the 10 bolt will last fine as long as you listen to tammy and the others and stay away from slicks
