It may...but you''re edging close to that line. If you''re running slicks and a big shot of nitrous, I would say have some money laying around just in case. If you do decide to replace go all out and get a Ford 9" for it, you won''t be breaking that any time soon.

Anytime you have "slicks" and "10-bolt" in the same sentence you should at least have money aside for a new rear end. If you have more work planned, make the investment now.

Ahh, decisions, decisions... I am currently trying to talk myself out of getting 4.10 gears and putting those $500 (+/-) towards a 12 bolt or something. See, my cousin-in-laws, cousin is the owner of a transmission shop and I''ll probably get a better deal than $500 (parts & labor of course).

i def. agree you should ditch the 10 bolt....
but have you done any thinking about Driveshaft/ U joint?

Hold off on the 383, prep your car for it now, and you''ll enjoy it much better later...

u dont have to ditch it, but slicks are the fastest way to kill a 10bolt. stick with DR''s until you have a 12 bolt or 9" and you will be much safer
