ok we just got done rebuilding the top end of my 89 rs  when we went to turn it over it don''t want to start and the grounds are getting way hot i don''t know if i am missing something but i can''t find any wires i missed hookin back up but i think there was 2 or 3 wires on the drivers side ground but i can''t rem and i only have 1 hooke d up any help would be nice

you have the ground on the back of the head to the firewall? Then there is the main battery ground which should go some where to the engine (depends on what year where but as long as its on there its good) and a 10 gauge to the chassis

ya we didn''t mess with the battery ground or the one to the chassis all we pulled off was the 2 going from the heads to the firewall

 Based on your post I would guess the valves are too tight and the starter is not strong enough to turn the engine over. Did you replace the valve springs? Might want to check they gave you the right ones. Back the valves off and see how it cranks. You need to test your starter draw to see if its within spec.

Of course there are a lot of other things that it could be. Even the fact the car sat for a few day could have let a connection that was starting to go bad to get bad enough to effect the starting.

we did not replace the valves they all looked good very min wear we are gona run a comp test tomm and prob reajust the rockers to make sure we did not over tighten them
