she put it in drive and floored it but she has to let off the gas a little to get it to shift or it bounces off redline for a second

she should still just be going WOT the whole time. if the tranny isnt shifting right thats just more crap slowing her down.   congrats on the win, but at least now we have identified why.

Status: online LS1>LT1 by a long shot. You would have to be runing heavy mods to beat a normal LS1 with even a fair driver. Intake, headers, exhaust, head/cam package, would make you more of a match.
