i bought a set of 4 black Z06 rims from ebay about 4 months ago, 18x9.5 with a +57mm offset, and havent really had the time since i bought them to get tires and mount em. so i finally got time, and the rear''s are fine, but the fronts hit the front sway bar when you turn. i bought em from ebay (the guy told me they fit 98-02 camaros) and tires are already mounted on them, so no returning.  now im forced to sell.  but i got the rims and tires for a total of about $1000, and im pretty sure for a set of brand new z06 rims with brand new tires, i should be able to get about $1500, hopefully.  WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!!!  the guy at the rim shop told me the offset is too high, but Ive never seen Z06 replicas with a lower offset than +56mm, and ive seen people with Z06 rims on their camaros.  needless to say, IM PISSED.

How much more clearance do you need? You can buy wheel adapter/spacers which will bring the wheels out more to compensate for the offset.

the guy said spacers wont work, and he said he doesnt recommend spacers on a car that has this much power.  plus, if i put spacers, the wheel would stick out farther than the body of the car, which would just look dumb.

No, I''m not talking about "spacers", but adapters that bolt on that have the same bolt pattern 4.75x4.75. However much power the car has doesn''t matter much since you''re only working on the fronts. Unless you''re going to track race the car, then I wouldn''t. But yeah, if even an inch would make the wheels stick out past the fender, then I guess that idea won''t work the best.
What about removing your sway bar and getting it tweaked to clear the tires? When the tires hit the bar, can you tell how far beyond that is full-lock?
Another idea, does your car have bump-stops on the front spindle? You could lengthen them so that the tires won''t rub when you go lock-to-lock. But, that would increase your turning radius somewhat, based on how much your turns fall short now.
