Too late now, but IMO that 600 Edelbrock carb is going to be kinda small for that 400 engine. I would have rebuilt the Holley you had, it''s a 650. The formula for a determining carb size is: cubic inches x max engine rpm''s divided by 3456 x Volumetric Effeciency (%VE). Very well built engines can reach 100% VE, and real hard-core race engines can actually exceed it. So if your engine is capable of 6,000 rpm, and has a VE of 90% (depending on how the heads are built, etc.) then you would want at least a 625 cfm carb. If your engine breathes better than that, or can wind higher than 6k, then even a 650 would be border-line.

PM me ill wait for a few days to list it so i can give CF members dibs if they want it. also the edelbrock valve covers are going up too. little bit of rust but my friend assures me we can clean them up before we sell. idk $40 for carb OR the covers to members
