hey everyone im new to this so any help will be good so i was driving one night an my car lost power it still starts an goes but not as a v6 should i check the engine oil an its good water is good the check engine light came on also so any info will be helpfull thanks from jfresh

I would get the codes read, or buy a code reader and do it yourself. Does the car shake, studder, or anything else unusual? Stick or auto?

it shakes an its a auto they also told me it cold be my spark plug wires or spark plugs so i have check tht what you think could it be that an what kind of code reader should i get an were is the ecu located in a 95 v6 camero 3.8 located at if you know please let me know an thanks for the info

Plugs, wires, coil packs... Any OBDII reader should work and the hook up SHOULD be under the dash on the drivers side. My coil packs go out more than anything else tbh so check those...

ECU is located under the hood, passenger side corner by the firewall. Hard to miss as it has a bunch of wires that go to it.

it might be your catalytic converter
check to see if it might be bashed in.

My money is on plugs or wires. The heat build up under our hoods is incredible, and that cooks ignition parts. Good luck

i bought my 98 camaro about a month ago and and it had a busted catalytic converter which caused me to loose power. if there is a rattle that might be the problem,
