New Edge Cobras are sweet. The new shelby GT500 is a shame... 500hp on suspension rated for 300hp... Now the Roush 427R w/ Trak Pak is where its at. Roushcharged 435hp 400 torque with all the goodies needed to whip that thing around a road course like a finishline seeking missile.

sadly, i''''ve beaten the new Roushcharged Mustang in an auto-x race, they aren''''t all that good. (i tried driving his car in fun runs and couldn''''t even match my time with my Camaro)

Was it just a roushcharged GT or was it a 427R w/ Trak Pak? I seriously doubt youd beat one of those.

he''s done auto-X a long time now. i think he knows what he''s talking about. plus he''s got the best handling body style camaro made, with a ton of suspension goodies, and a 400 SBC thats prolly doing close if not breaking 400HP and 400TQ. and a awesome driver mod.

yenko 1990s is a 350 sb which is broken last i herd so hes got the 3.1 in there.....and again those are the dnyo numbers off the motor..... that being said big power doestn really make all that much of a differance in auto x you never have enough straight to use it. theres a 427 roush at my work ive never seen it driven but he always parks next to guess he figgures i know how to take care of my paint i wont ding his lol

Id like to hear it from him. theres a HUGE difference in performance and handling wise between a roush 427R w/ the trak pak and a GT with a roush supercharger...

well im not saying he did it.... particularly with the 3.1 in there im just saying.... its possible that particularly as you say if its the GT with the supercharger that the camaro just out handles it. but like i said ive never actually seen a roush 427 driven

oh and as far as the op best year of the GT.....71-72 fast back with a 427 cobra jet....one of the closest things to respectable to ever come outa ford motor company....
