2010 marks the return of the mighty Chevrolet Camaro and with it, a full scale horsepower war; the likes of which have been unseen since the early 1970s. The sleek muscular lines hint of vintage styling, but unlike its direct competitors, the Camaro wears a very modern look. The low, wide stance combined with the scowling front end provides for a menacing look and the drivetrain offerings ensure that there is plenty of bark and bite. The LS and LT trimlines will come equipped with a 296hp 3.6L V6 and the 2010 Camaro SS will come equipped with a 416hp, 6.2L V8. Both of these transmissions are mated to either a 6-speed manual or TAPshift automatic transmission, feeding the beefy rear differential. The RS package is available on the LT and SS models, adding HID headlights, a spoiler, and RS taillights, along with a set of bright polished 20” wheels. The Camaro MSRP has not been announced thus far, but orders will be taken starting some time in early 2009, per Chevrolet’s website. After a short absence, the Camaro is back and this new beast looks to make a heavy impact in the performance car market.
