I''ve never had a subwoofer in a car before, so I figured that I should give it a try. My camaro had that jbl amp in it when I got it, so I built a box yesterday, and got some carpet, glue, and the speaker from walmart for a total of about $60. I know squat about sound systems, but the box is sealed nice, and there should be enough air space for that 10". I''m not a radio nut, so this setup is just fine for my purposes. It does vibrate the mirrors though, kinda fun to listen to The two metal strips are out of my old 79 Jeep. They look ok on there if you ask me.

Not bad looking. Like you I''m not much for big sound systems.
