Hey guys, I normally only work on import ''drift'' cars as just a hobby so I know how to turn a wrench. I got a friend of mine that has a 96(or 95?) Z28 6speed and his shocks were blown. So we ordered the parts, but I didn''t realize that we were going to need suspension mounts as well for the fronts. I figured that I could just reuse the mounts from the old ones since I assumed I was going to need the top spring plate. Unfortunately I assumed wrong and we got the mounts. Pulling out the suspension wasn''t that bad considering I haven''t worked on a car that had a double A arm in the front. But when I went to put the suspension in the front in on the passenger side the the nut in the mount that held it to the chassis broke off. I was able to get both the front studs bolted down and one of the rear bolts tightened. I didn''t have much time left in the day and said ****it and did the drivers side. ZOMGFTW IS WITH HAVING A BOLT RIGHT UNDER THE BMC!!!!!! ZOMG that was the MOST annoying part of the job. No.. I take that back, having another nut brake loose of the rubber mount was THE most annoying part. I''m curious does anyone offer strut mounts for a 4th gen z28 with 4 studs through it? I mean it just makes sense to me. But anyways I was wondering short of taking the mounts back, waiting a day for new ones would it be safe for me to just get a bolt a nut and a washer in its place on each side?
