I was wondering if the heater hoses on a 69 camaro are located in a different place on big blocks than on small blocks? My car right now is a big block and the hoses are closer to the quarter panel.  I was just wondering, to see if my car is originally a big block car or small blick car. Somebody recently told me that on small blocks, the heater hoses were closer to the engine rather than closer to the quater panel. Is this info true??

Yes that is true. On a small block, the heater core fittings are behind the the passenger side valve cover. Big block cars have it moved further towards the pass. side fender for clearance reasons.
