Would I keep up with a SS if I supercharged my car. And how much am I looking at if I did supercharge my V6?

i dont know how many more times i half to post this .....buuut

bascially on any car with any type of boost (whether its super or turbo charged) you will gain 7% of your naturally aspirated horse power per pound of boost you run...

so in the case of the the 3.8

your looking at  200 horse power times .07 this comes out to  14 thusly 14 horse power per pound of boost

the 3.8 with stock internals can run about 8 pounds of boost safely

basically with a maxed out set up on stock internals 14*8 yeilding 116 plus your base 200

316 horse power and same equation applying to torque 225 * .07 = 15.75*8=126+225= 351

316 horse power 351 toque so bascially you would out torque a LS1 by 30 and the LS1 would out horse you by 35 so assuming you did all the drivetrain mods nesscary to put the power to the ground yes it would be an extreamly good race

I am building an M90 supercharged V6 for my camaro right now. I plan to make 400HP+. I dont believe it will be a problem to make this with forged internals. Daren
