Hey joker904(NEW GUY) This question is about "EXHAUST" not air intake. (I prefer SLP btw)... Leave this question to the experts and take your honda civic econo box comments elsewhere thanks! AMERICAN MUSCLE BABY

To answer the question, an "off road Y pipe" is one that doesn''t conform to emissions regulations, either by not having A.I.R. provisions, and/or it also eliminates the catalytic converter. Any time you see add-on parts for a car that say they are for "off road" use only, it''s either for emissions reasons or safety reasons. So, you aren''t "supposed" to use that Y pipe on the street because you may have problems passing an emissions test, or it could be illegal to remove the part it replaces for street driving.

Hey thanks! I appreciate the reply! Now I understand what an off road y pipe is. I now know they don''t take our camaros off in the mud.
