Hello, to start off...  I am new here, hello everyone!  Now to dive right in...

Problem number 1:  The "easy" problem.

Car has a hard time starting.  Especially after being off a while.  Within 10 minutes of running, starts right up.  10mins to a few hours, has to crank a few extra seconds.  After a few hours, especially overnight, have to try several times, with about 30 seconds of cranking to get it to start.  Other than that, car idles fine, runs fine cruising or under load.  I haven''t pressure tested the system yet, but hopefully I will be able to.  I am thinking Fuel Pressure Regulator, and no harm in replacing the fuel filter.  Probably gonna replace the starter while I''m at it...  it''s been stressed pretty bad with this problem. Ideas?

Problem number 2:  The "OMFG THIS POS IS FUBR" problem.

While driving this thing, there is a HORRIBLE noise coming from the car.  I assume its in the bellhousing.  The noise is coming from above the shifter, but behind the engine.  Its a knocking, rubbing, undescribable kind of noise.  It''s definatly not the engine, not the rack and pinion, not the suspension, or the brakes...  although the rotors are warped.  I hear this HORRIBLE UNGODLY noise durring:

Braking, especially as the car gets closer to shifting down to first.
While driving randomly.
Especially when I hit a bump, or many bumps.

It almost sounds like a hollow plastic dragging on rough metal kind of noise...  It really is hard to describe.  Anyway...  Ideas here?  We are thinking torque converter falling to pieces...  but then again, it accellerates and decellerates just fine, outside the HORRIBLE MIND BLOWING noise.

Problem 2 sounds like a tranny mount.

Problem 1:

Turns out the cat is bad.  Thats part of the no start problem.
The Coolant temp sensor is more than likely bad.
It needs a new ignition coil.

Problem 2:

With bad rotors, vibrations are going into the cabin durring braking and causing the wonderful chevy dash squeek.  But in a real bad way.  Heat shield may be loose but doubtful.  We put the car in the air and ran it to 60mph and stopped it, few times, and not a single noise.
