A $12,000 8 year old car beat a $40,000 1 year old car, and you''re impressed with the stang?

around 260ish is normal for the stock 3 valve GT. There are a few freaks that dyno a bit higher but for the most part they will fall in the 260-270 range.

Sorry brother there is no way a Mustang costs $40,000.  A GT500 can be had for the $42,000-$44,000 range.  I paid $24,500 brand new for mine.

Totally agree, or the guy couldn''t drive.  No way a S197 is going to jump three car lengths on a LS1.

Yeah, he is talking rwhp.  I dyno''d 261rwhp and 280rwtq stock and 282rwhp and 299rwtq after the cai and tune. My car is a 5 speed manual.  An auto would do a little lower.

The MSRP on the 08''s is what, like 29k? The dealers still jack that price up a couple grand. Then your looking at a ****ty ass interest rate with taxes and all the licensing fees, etc. I''m sure most people buying them now end up paying about 35 grand when all is said and done. I was being generous with the 00 trans am too, you can pick one of those up for 6 grand not 12
