lifter problem?

hey guys havent been on in awhile but i have a question theres a tap comin from the driver side of the engine i thought it was a rocker took the valve cover off ran it and its not them the tap gets louder after racing and then quiets down after an hours rest. so im thinkin that it could be a lifter gone bad? is there anyway i can stop this lik an additive cuz i dont want to hav to take the intake off and replace them yet

lifter replacement is actually easy. You can buy them from auto zone for $9.99 each. If you have a colasped lifter, or a weak lifter, you should just replace them. The lifter is probably full of crap. Its very simple to actually rebuild them. Just pull off the retainer clip. the cap and if you wanna call it a "piston head" then pull out the cylinder, soak them in degreaser, wash them out and put them back to gether. Unles your dexterity is poor, it may be easier to just buy new ones.
