it all depends on the vehicle, weight, stock/mods, etc.... there are 2 people in my local f-body club that just got their cars dyno'd and were only making 255 & 265(to the wheels) out of an LT1, one was a Camaro and another was a Formula

It all depends on what you want to put in it and how much money you want to spend.

They use a chassis dyno, not an engine dyno. There is usually a 20% to 30% power loss between the engine and the wheels. Also Alih didn't mention if the cars had mods or not, but to produce that amount of RWHP they had to have some mods.

ok well one is 94 formula it has function ram air hood, hyper tech super chip box, skip shift eliminator, magnaflow muffler and tips, and a 6 speed t56 it was dyno'd at 255 wrhp and 305 torq the other was a 95 z28 has shorty headers, high flow cat, dynomax muffer, cold air with KNN filter, 52 throttle body, IAT relocated and now the new program/chip from Pro Street Performance. i believe that was dyno'd at 265. i was told that 275 was rated to the crank not the wheels
