I am new to the forum and would like some suggestions. I have a 1998 Camaro Z28 convertible and would like some suggestions on a sound system and some performance mods. Thanks

well, there are lots of things available for both sound and performance, it depends on how crazy you wanna go, and how much cash youre looking to spend...

well I am 17 and money is definitely an issue. I don't want to go crazy in the performance area, just some small things. I already have a k&n filter and a flowmaster exhaust. I would like to have a decent sound system, but I want to keep my stock radio if possible.

sorry to tell you this but unless you have a monsoon factory head unit, you need an aftermarket one, perferably pioneer or premier. The head unit is not your problem though, if you want style and great sound, you need to get someone to fiberglass you a box to fit your cargo trunk area, there is enough space for two 12's or three 10's. well what you wanna know is pricing, and i'll tell you your gonna spend 500 to 1000 bucks for all the stylish sound layout stuff, and if you wanna stop by the walmart and buy you a small 10 or 12 box and get you a nice sub to go with it. If you wanna stick with your factory head unit. strip your RCA wires and be careful not to cut the small yellow and white wire hidin in the middle of the the cords. you'll need to strip those wire and splice them in with one of your rear speakers. its quite easy to do bud, good luck!
