the one statement about the slowest stang, sorry it was the 1993 cars before the body change, ford put a smaller cam in the cars to make the epa standards for that year so they did not have to pay any fines to the epa on the new stadards for 1993. i bought one in november of 92 and it was a piece of ****. i traded a 1990 coupe body with the gt-40 iron heads and intake. ford had them rated at 205 hp let me tell ya i do not think it was close. i traded it 14 months later and only put 3500 miles on it. (shame on you ford)

The Cobra being the exception, the 96,97 and 98 4.6 cars were the worst of the GT's. Go on any Stang board and ask.

The cobra should take him if i understand the camaro is 285 stock and the cobra is 305 stock,Plus the cobra is a manuel and you are an automatic, Auto shifts quicker but manuel could redline and go through gears higher...

It would be a good race though....

And The cobra engine and the GT engine are different engines who ever asked that

im not sure about the regular cobras but the 96 mystic cobra runs a 1/4 in 14 seconds according to this website http://fast-autos.net/ford/fordmysticcobra.html

thats the special edition one so im guessing the regular cobra would be worse or the same

correct me if im wrong

http://www.stangbangers.com/GT_vs_CamaroZ28_Article2.htm

the 94 camaro z28 ran 14.1 seconds in a 1/4 mile

it all depends really on the source but for the most part the cobras are runnin 14 seconds and the camaro z28 is runnin 14 seconds to 14.1 seconds

very close times, as far as im concerned its a tie

the 94 z28 vs the 94 gt on the other hand is no competition, the z28 blows it away hands down according to car and driver
