I pay $33/mo for my Camaro. I also have it on my insurance as a "pleasure vehicle," and a $1,000 deductible.

It all depends where the car is garaged (hopefully not NJ or NY), car model, advertised HP, age of car, age of operator, driving record, how is the car going to be used, amount & type of coverage wanted, yearly mileage, and your credit rating. Don't usually care about mods, except for autrageous visible stuff, such as the car riding 4 Ft off the ground, or anything illegal. Check with the insurance companies, they all have different rates.

It usually takes 3 to 5 years for accidents and tickets to clear from your record, actually they never clear but you don't get charged. Again it all depends on your state laws, and how the insurance company feels about it.

This is what I learned. I was reaserching inshurance for my camaro and my firebird. They are an 80 bird and an 81 camaro.

the maro had a 231cid

the bird had a 350

both were 800 with out collision in NY for a 16 year old male (me) so I dont think it matters. They didnt seem to care.

thats my take on it. the mods aernt even asked. especially since the vin dosent change. so your in the clear if your a good driver.

i just started driving my restored 78 and just got insurance on it .they asked if the engine was original or modified,i couldn't lie because a 78 never had a 454.i got insurance for 190.00 a year, full coverage but i'm only allowed 5000 miles a year.i'm 40 live in little rock.havent had any tickets in the past 10 years.i checked around and this was a cheap as i could find.there was some alot higher with unlimited mileage.my car is insured for 20,000.
