yea, i dont know what it is, but its setting it into the limp home mode until it warms up. the limp home mode makes it run rich and adjusts the timing so the engine wont kill itself. i dont know what causes it. im sure if i got a trouble code reader i could figure it out

stick one end of the paper clip in the upper right of your cccs i believe, and the other in the one to the left of it,,, SOMEBODY CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG. The SES will flash, say its code 15, one flash, a pause, then 5 more flashes... it works like this. The first number is obviously the first one to be told, it will flash that many times, then a few seconds of a pause, then it will flash the second number. Im terrible at explinations, so if this is confuseing, dont be suprised, if i were to read over this i would probably kiel over and go into convulsions...

you also need to consider the cold start injector (also called the 9th injector) , it may not be functioning properly. it is suposed to work on cold start-up to help richen the mixture when the engine is cold , then shut off when the engine is warmed-up. another thing to check is the coolant temp. sensor going to the PCM , i have seen them go bad and read -40* F all the time which will cause the PCM to richen the mixture to get the engine warmed-up even if it is already warm because the PCM doesn't know the engine is warm.
