im not shure about ho wuch bigger you could get for the block without messing with the engine mounts, but if you bored and stroked a 350 you could get a 383 no problem -straightline 81

you can fit a big block inside the stock fender wells and hood area without changing anything but the motor mounts, has long has you don't mind losing your air. And then the wiring for the motor. But everything else is the same just a bit taller, also you will need to get big block frontt coil springs to handle the weight.

you can get a bb in it but.... you need to beef up the suspension with unibody clips and sub frame connectors first. a bb will tear the car in half.

The 400 small block will bolt right up with no probs or hassel.... Make sure u do not buy a high rise intake.... that will cut it pretty close.... If your talking high horsepower and drag racing... Remember the subframe connectors... It doesnt take much to twist those bodys... Been there dont that... My front left tire was about 2 in off the ground.... Also with the high horse power 70bigblock mention front coil springs... dont forget your rear suspnsion... lots of torque and power, you will need stiffer rear suspension but not to much to where ya have no traction....

Ye aI was just stating that you can put a big block in there. But with that thee is alot of changing too the frame and suspension need to hand not only the weight but also the torque/hp. I been there I twisted a 83 ta with a 383 and a t-5 trans. Oops forget to put in my frame connectors. It is just a matter of what the owner wants in his/her car. If you have the money you can put any motor and trans into any car. It just takes some dead presidents to make it happen.
