Procedure to fixing a blown speaker is buying a new one. Xplods are junk. Dual is just as "good" but far cheaper if you want crap atleast get crap that looks cool. Why not get some components, has no one seriously suggested that yet?

Component speakers is a system in which you have a midrange woofer, usually 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 in size, a tweeter, and a crossover. The crossover basically takes the signal you send to it, whether it's from an amplifier or a head unit (you should never run components off a head unit though) and it separates the high and low frequencys and sends the lows to your woofer and the highs to your tweeter. Giving you much better sound. Instead of one speaker (coaxial) playing everything.
Think of your speaker as an office receptionist.
She's got phones to answer and emails to reply to. (Sound)
She's got a manager thats going to tell her what process to do these things in. (Crossover)
He says forward the emails (Highs) to me (Tweeter)and i'll take care of those. Send the phone calls (Lows) to Tim (Woofer) in HR.

See how that can be much easy on your business (speakers). And make things much more harmonious. Hope that was in a form easy to understand. And if your thinking "But is a component system expensive?" Not really you can get a pair off the net from a very reputable yet, relativly underground company for around $100, on up to $150 and $200 range. Thats about what most people are willing to spend. Yes you can get sets that are around $1500, but I don't think thats really something your looking for.

I was referring to the poeple suggesting you just takeout your back seats and mount company a's subs with company b's amps. And voila! You have your exact idea of a perfect system.

Lots of online dealers that have excellent customer service I can send you to. We do need a price range, sounds like you need something simple, clean and you don't need more than one subwoofer or anything in to much excess.

Im thinking components, 4 channel, single woofer. You have the skill and resources to build your own box? Or do you have the money to go to a shop and have them build you one for around $100? And you'll need a wiring kit, we'll get you in the right direction. Me and Hisss have alot of experience and knowledge were hoping to clean up this forum, theres alot of misleading and bad information floating around thats going to have people spending more money than they need, more problems, and suggesting overpriced glamed up equipment thats known to crap out fast, easy or both.

Jump on those CDT 60A's. They somehow have an error in their shipping department and they are upgrading everyone to the 61A's for free. I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and guess what, 61A's showed up a few days later! I think they are still doing the same thing. If you want you can even call them and ask them if they are still doing the free upgrades, thats what i did and they answered me with a yes.
