no way. I have a friend that has 2 12" Xplodes in his Bird and they are both peaked at 1200. he has upgraded all of his speaks to Xplodes including his radio. it sounds nice as he//.he has had the cops called on him countless times. but make sure the box can handle the pressure. if you dont the wood will start splitting after a month or two. he also has a 1600 watt for each sub to push them.

you are using the wrong wood. MDF is the only wood you should use. There is no way that you will split that with only 2 sony 12's

ive got two 900watt kenwood tyfoons and two 900watt visonic sub. there's a 4000watt cadence amp pushing my four twelves and a 200watt crossover helping it. i installed a newer model kenwood head unit and jus added a 10 disc sony CD changer. i had to replace all the stock speakers so i could here the words to the songs. so i installed pioneer tweeters into the doors and put 3 1/2" rockford components in the doors also. i put 5 3/4" rockford components in the panels behind the seats and i installed pioneer 6x9 into the back hatch panels. it hits pretty hard. i mean you cant take a drink of anything without you spitting it back up. i jus dont like my speakers. does anyone have any suggestions on whick kind of speaker i can get that my amp wont blow b/c my amp isnt even turned up at all yet and my head unit is set on -15 on subs and -8 on bass. ANY SUGGESTIONS????????

2 jenson 6x9's with a advertised wattage of about 180 watts each....1 12" fosgate p1 sub 1 10" fosgate p2 sub....and the subs only have a cheapo 300 watt amp but bumps due to placement for some odd reason..with a new POS headunit
